12 July her little bellybutton raison (Umbilical cord) fell off.

We left the hospital on morning of Friday 7 July. She slept the whole trip.

Here is a photo of Grandad holding her at home.

1St bath today, the Midwife gives us a demo.
Thats a face of total relaxation on our wee girl, she loved the bath, especially getting her hair washed!!
Unfortunatly the Ward 12 Midwife Nazi wouldn't let me stay tonight, as our girls fine now they kicked me out, so home alone for me tonight while my girls are in the hospital tonight, hopefully we'll be a family at home tomorrow.

OK all normal now, neonatal staff delivered her to us at 01:00am this morning for a feed and to stay with us, so she's been ours ever since. Kinda scarry now as it was nice knowing when she was in Neonat's that she had primo care and people watching her 24/7. Now that she's in the ward wiht us its all upto us to keep her happy.
We're going off for the 1st bath shortly, so that will be cool, and nice for her to finally get a wash.
She sleeps a heck of alot and we even have to wake er up for feeds, I can see in a few weeks time we'll be begging for her to be as quite as she is now!!
All going well we get to go home tomorrow.

We've had a steady stream of visitors. Which has been nice, Amber got a good kip this afternoon and feels a bit more herself now. Today things started to get good. She came out of the incubator thingie and into a cot, had all the breathing help removed, and most of the sensors, we could hold and dress our little girl. She got straight onto 'the boob' and settled well into feeding which was great, has had a couple of huge feeds and I changed the 1st nappy! - Who'd have thought!!!
So now that we've finally got close to our girl and can hold her and Amber can feed her, its name time. She really feels like our baby now so we can get to work on naming her. Before she didn't look her best with the wires and tubes but now things are great.
Here are a few pics. My Queen and my Princess together!

Yes our little girl was bron at 3:42PM Monday 3rd July 2006.
In the end the labour was quite tough on her and she got quite distressed with a very low heart rate, she was rushed into theatre and cleaned up and suctioned off and given help breathing. Then off in an ICU to the neonatal intensive care unit for special help.
She's in the NeoNatal unit now and unfortunatly will be for a couple of days at least. She has alot of fluid on her lungs which makes her breathing very very fast. She's also on antibiotics as she may have an infection.
She weighs in at 3.48Kg's, so is a big girl. Its a shame being in the neonatal unit as we can't hold her, she's such a wee wrigler kicking her wee legs arround we just want to give her a big cuddle, hopefully soon.
Ambers doing well.
Things are moving along...
